I grew up in Yorkshire, wandering woods, books and blank pages, exploring my own myths, discovering those of others, and bringing them together to form the basis of my artwork.
Among my biggest influences are artists from the Golden Age of Illustration, and the Pre-Raphaelites. I admire, too, artists such as William Blake in his creation of a personal mythology; something I aspire to with my own work. One of my current long term projects is writing, illustrating and binding a book of personal fairytales.
I utilise a wide variety of media in my artwork and enjoy experimenting with different styles and methods.
